Made in Italy stamped on the bottom, has a miniature oval portrait of a lid decorated in the centre with a 19th century hand painted portrait of Madame Reclaimer adorned with a patinated metal oval frame. A faux ivory panel around enhances it. The border of the lid is decorated with a bronzed metal relief of beads and Fleur de Lis motif like in the corners. The side metal walls of the box are adorned with the relief of C-scrolls, leaves and ribbons pattern. The inside of the box is covered with a red velvet fabric. The bottom of the box is covered with fabric.
