GOD CONCEPT. EBISU: The Japanese God of Fishing and Good ...Ebisu is the Japanese god of fishermen and good luck, known for his association with prosperity, honest labor, and the sea. He is one of the Seven Lucky Gods (Shichi-fukujin) and the only one of Japanese origin, often depicted as a smiling, stout fisherman with a fishing rod and a sea bream (a fish symbolizing good fortune).
